OUTFIT OF THE DAY #139
How do our clothes look on a “non-model”?
Looks from my daily life here at Y.Chroma HQ in Lisbon in hopes they inspire you.
Henley Week, Day 8: how to stay fresh in winter.
Lads,
Last day of Henley Week. How do you keep a look fresh in winter? It’s not quite cold yet, but we’re getting there. Today I’m showing you how I do it: a no-fail color, some white, and a pair of sneakers with a formal pant.
It’s Henley Week, so the look starts with the French Blue Henley. Sublime Buffed Cotton milled here in Europe, and French Blue is a no-fail color for this time of year. Most men put lighter blue away in October. I never understood that. It brightens your face and goes with almost everything.
On top, the 2026 Power Cable Sweater in White Lotus. French Blue and White Lotus together are just a great overall look, and the Power Cable earns its place here because of the fiber. Pima cotton keeps you warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm. In winter it gives you real warmth without the bulk, and it layers beautifully over a Henley. The cable knit gives it texture and presence.
The pant is the Skyline in Obsidian Gray, with a little cuff at the hem. I pair it with a classic old-school pair of Adidas. A formal pant with sneakers is what keeps the whole thing relaxed and modern.
The rest is simple: a pair of shades and a really neat watch from my friend Ilan at Chotovelli Watches, who makes great ones.
What I like about this outfit is that it works for a day like today, when I’m just in and out running errands. Comfortable and casual, but it still looks upmarket. These aren’t typical wintry colors, but they should be.
That’s Henley Week. Eight days, one piece at the center of all of them. I hope you’ve seen by now what a great Henley can do for a wardrobe. Go get yours.
All the Best,
