Henley Week, Day 6: one henley, three pants.

Today’s Outfit of the Day comes in three parts. Same shirt, same belt, same shoe. Only the pant changes. I wanted to show you what one great Java Brown Henley can do. It’s an unexpected color for a shirt, and it’s easier to wear than you think. So I matched it with three different colors of the Becker Service Pant.
The shirt is the Java Brown Buffed Cotton Long Sleeve Henley, in that almost suede-like, buttery fabric you already know. Cognac Silk™ lining at the armholes and a placket that holds all day. Java Brown is one of those colors that is quietly dressy: rich, warm and subtly unique. It dresses up or down.
You can go for the monochrome tone-on-tone look. Java Brown Henley with the Java Brown Becker Service Pant, which people call the box pocket pant. A simple loafer, a simple belt I’ve had forever, steel jewelry. The box pocket gives the pant a rugged structure. The trick is that an exquisite fabric and proper tailoring up-level a simple henley, so it looks right next to a good pant.
Then you can go for a fresher option, that still works great in winter thanks to the fabrics. Exactly the same look, with the pant switched to the White Lotus Becker Service Pant. The black loafer and black belt do the classic, old school thing that pairs with just about anything. A brown belt and loafer would work too, because Java Brown is that universal. I love outfits with lots of layers, but sometimes something super simple that still looks special is the nicest thing to have in your wardrobe.
Then the last option is the bold one. Aperol Orange Becker Service Pant. Brown and orange are absolutely sublime together. The Aperol Orange does all the singing, and the Java Brown Henley plays perfect backup. With two colors like this, keep it simple. Don’t try to do anything tricky or fancy. I kept the same belt and loafer to keep the game honest, though a brown loafer would look great here too.
Same shirt. Three pants. Three different moods. That’s what a great henley does.
