The Retinol Pant 2026 Edition is here. This has been one of my favorite pants since we launched it in 2023. You guys bought a ton of them because of their secret super power: A perfectly cut slightly high-waisted pant with a carrot-shaped silhouette makes a bulky man look sleeker and a shorter man look taller. It’s counter-intuitive because shorter guys always seem to want to buy longer pants. Try this instead and you’ll see what I mean.
After listening to your feedback since 2023, here are the 3 main things we upgraded to make the all-new 2026 version of the Retinol Pant even better.
The waist. The Y.Chroma waistband is the best anywhere. (If you have one, you know it’s true!) We’ve added our new camera metal interior button system and improved waistband lining for even more responsiveness and comfort. Check out these close-up photos which demonstrate my full, weaponized OCD in the detailing.
The length. The Retinol Pant was already a lightly high waisted pant, which everyone loved. But many of you felt the legs were too short and had to upsize. After about a hundred of those text messages, I figured we should just make the leg longer. And it still has the Y.Chroma “2-position cuff” that adds extra versatility.
The details. The back pockets are redesigned so they now can be worn “out” if you like the pocket flap look, or tucked in for a sleeker look. You’ll love how we made the pocket do that. (Peek under the pocket flap and you’ll see how we keep it from looking frumpy.)Cognac Silk™ lining on the back pockets, front pockets, and key seams — same as always.
Oh — and my favorite part — we replaced the button fly with a our magnificent new man-hand sized zipper. I’ve always hated those crummy zippers that even expensive pants come with, so we made our own. It’s totally overkill but once you use it everything else you own will feel like a prize from a Happy Meal.
